Equity

At this time in our history, Insource’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is stronger than ever. We believe it is crucial to remain steadfast in our priorities and to directly address the challenges ahead.

An inclusive workplace, an equitable approach to our work, and a meaningful contribution to the communities around us are central to who we are and how we serve our clients. We will continue to demonstrate this through both our words and our actions, respecting and listening to all views and voices as we look for ways to embody what we believe and inspire others to do the same.

Insource is committed to sharpening our priorities and renewing our approach to DEI. Together, we have organized our efforts around three areas where we can make a real difference: our people, the clients we serve, and the broader community. Each area carries its own commitments, and all three are owned collectively by our Leadership Team.

Company and Colleagues

We are proud of our diverse team, and we continue to invest in the people who make Insource what it is by:

  • Reaching diverse candidate pools and building a workforce where every colleague is heard, valued, and supported to grow,
  • Investing in training, learning, and open conversations that build our collective understanding of bias, inequity, and the experiences of Black, Indigenous, AAPI, Latino, LGBTQIA++ people, and other under-represented communities,
  • Supporting the work of our Affinity Groups to promote awareness, education, and inclusion across the firm, and
  • Using data and direct feedback from our staff to understand where we stand, measure our progress, and identify where to focus our efforts next.

Clients and Partners

The way we deliver our services reflects what we believe. We embody this by:

  • Bringing an equity lens to our client work, including the language and structure of the agreements and proposals through which we serve them,
  • Showing up alongside our clients, through leadership and staff participation in the events, initiatives, and gatherings that matter to the communities they serve,
  • Deepening our understanding of the missions, communities, and constituencies our clients serve, and
  • Offering facilitation and training that help client organizations build their own awareness on issues of bias inequity, and discrimination.

Community and Society

Our commitment extends beyond our walls, through our partnerships, the choices we make as a company, and the ways we invest in the communities where we live and work by:

  • Building an inclusive vendor and supplier base, working to identify diverse partners and ensuring they have a fair opportunity to compete for and contribute to our business,
  • Collaborating with staff, clients, partners, and members of our community to share resources, exchange ideas, and engage with the issues shaping equity work today, and
  • Investing in the next generation of leaders, particularly those whose lived experiences and perspectives are essential to a more equitable future.

Regaining DEI Momentum

We are pleased to share this June 2023 webinar discussion from the Charles River Regional Chamber’s “Regaining DEI Momentum" about ways to encourage DEI efforts in organizational settings that included Insource Chief People Officer DaQuall Graham as a featured panelist.

This is a multi-year effort, owned by the full Leadership Team and supported by colleagues across every practice. Meaningful change requires consistency, candor, and a willingness to keep learning. We encourage you – our clients, partners, and friends, to join us in your own way, within your organization and beyond.
